This is important information for anyone currently working or looking to get started in the Real Estate Industry in New South Wales.
What is changing in Real Estate in New South Wales?
You are probably already aware that the Government is about to give their final stamp of approval on the Property, Stock and Business Agents Amendment (Property Industry Reform) Bill 2017. These changes will see requirements for both entering the industry and upgrading your qualifications (becoming Fully Licensed) in NSW change significantly.
These changes are most likely going to be in effect from July 1st 2018.
What does this mean for you?
Entry requirements for the industry will significantly increase – this means you will need to be registered with Fair Trading NSW before the changes are in effect or risk having to do further study.
Becoming Fully Licensed currently has no minimum working requirement to be eligible to register; this will change to at least 12 months practical experience. Anyone who has their Licence issued before the changes come into effect will be able to retain this and may simply need to complete so basic, ongoing training through Fair Trading NSW (similar to the current CPD system).
How can you get ahead of the game?
Upgrading your qualifications by becoming Fully Licensed has many benefits according to agents who have completed our course, including being more qualified than your competition and having a stronger online profile which means more enquiry & more business. It also helps significantly increase your ’employability’ when first getting started in Real Estate.
Students who want to complete their Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) and have already completed their Registration Course with us have been able to continue on and knock over the remaining units within a week. This is because we have designed the course to be quicker, easier and with less questions if you have done our Registration Course.
